How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since August of 2007, however, our server has been operational and running on solar energy since 2001. Solar Energy Host is part of a larger organization that has been operating since 2005.

How much are domain names and who is the registrar?

Directi.com and Enom.com are our registrars, .com and .org domain names are $14.95. USD per year. .Ca Domain names are $29.95 per year.

Do you offer 24 hour support, 7 days a week?

Yes, we offer 24/7 email support with a turn-around time of under 45 minutes, 365 days a year.

Do you support SSH access?

Yes, but not by default. If you contact us we can set up SSH access for you.

Do you support multiple FTP accounts?

Yes we do. You create new FTP user from your Plesk control panel.

Do you provide webmail for the email accounts?

Yes, we offer the Horde, Squirrel, and Cubemail webmail systems.

Are there any calendar applications included?

We do not offer any freestanding calendar scripts in our auto-installer; however, you may manually install any script you want.

Is it possible to install additional applications?

We offer Joomla and Drupal auto-installers. Any PHP script can be installed on our servers. Mailing lists, however, are a special case. We allow these on a case-by-case basis.

Do you have a money-back guarantee?

Yes, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all our accounts, less the set-up fee and the fee for new domain name registration ($14.95 for .com domain names.)

Do you offer a dedicated secure socket layer (SSL?)

Yes, we offer a free “shared SSL,” and we offer dedicated SSL's for $129 per domain.

Is your data center the same data center as AISO.net/Greenesthosting.com?

Yes, we all share the same data center! We are unique in that we offer the Cpanel control panel, and are Joomla/Open Source specialists.

Are you really Joomla specialists?

Yes! We have built hundreds of Joomla websites and we know Joomla inside and out. We have also optimized our servers to run Joomla properly.

Do you allow adult site hosting?

No we do not.

What versions of LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP and MySQL) are available?

Currently, our servers run:

• Linux: CentOS release 5 (Final)
• Apache :2.2.3
• MySQL: 5.0.22
• PHP: 5.2.8

What Control panel do you offer on your shared multi-domain accounts?

We are proud to offer Cpanel. It is a very user-friendly and powerful control panel.

Do you provide a connectivity or server uptime guarantee?

We do not offer an uptime guarantee per se, but our servers have an unblemished uptime record of more than 99.9%

Do you back up your server?

Yes. At any given time we have 7 days worth of daily back-ups, so you can restore your website should something happen.

Do you offer SFTP?

We offer SFTP upon request, at no extra charge.

Are REGISTER GLOBALS off?

Yes, they are.

Do you place any restrictions on email accounts?

No.
